Home Credit Default Risk Model

Machine Learning and Business Analytics Project · May 2026

• Built a credit default prediction model using Home Credit application, bureau, previous loan, payment, and credit-card history
• Engineered thousands of predictive features, including repayment ratios, missingness indicators, aggregate bureau variables, and credit behavior patterns
• Trained and evaluated XGBoost models using cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and calibration to estimate borrower default probability

Cancer Literacy Research Project

Healthcare Analytics and Research Project · September 2023 – May 2025

• Conducted a cancer-literacy survey in Ho Chi Minh City to study how symptom awareness correlates with socioeconomic and demographic factors
• Collected and analyzed over one hundred initial survey responses, which helped secure university funding for a broader research collaboration
• Later partnered with a local university and hospital to expand the study to more than one thousand residents
